Dorothy's Pies
Due to a change in the Late Show taping schedule, it was unclear whether there would even be any pie guessing on the show this year. For the first time in 20 years, there was no new Late Show on Thanksgiving. Fortunately, they set up a remote with Dave's Mom on Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, so that Dave could guess the pies, and you the home viewer could play along at home. Dorothy baked a Pumpkin Pie and a Red Raspberry Chiffon Pie this year. Southwest Ohio Bob was the only contestant to guess both of Dorothy's pies correctly, and was declared the Grand Champion with a score of 30 points. We counted 25 Pie Utterances on the show, and awarded honorable mentions to Ron Munn and Maureen Hurley, who both guessed 25.
The Pie Machine
For the Virtual Pie Guessing, Laura (Maybeso) won in Sudden Death Pie Overtime with a total score of 60 points. Shirlee (Foxyscribe) earned an honorable mention for correctly predicting the number of Virtual Pie Utterances at 248.
