Dorothy's Pies
On the show, Dorothy unveiled two pies: Cherry and Sugar Cream. Nobody guessed anything close to Sugar Cream, but boy did we have people guessing Cherry. That brings us straight to the tie-breaking Pie Utterance event. We counted 10 utterances of the word "pie" or "pies" during the broadcast (one of the lowest ever on the Thanksgiving broadcast). Among the Cherry-choosing entrants, Jason Brown came closest with a guess of 17 Pie Utterances, and was declared the Grand Champion.
The Pie Machine
For the Virtual Pie Guessing, Ava (aka Ronnie) won on points after three rounds of selections, including two rounds of Sudden Death Pie Overtime. Ronnie earned 40 points for her guesses of German Chocolate and Rhubarb Cream Cheese.
The Pie uttered the word "Pie" only once -- definitely the smallest number of virtual pie utterances on record. Nobody was anywhere close to that, so there was no honorable mention for virtual utterance guessing this year.
We had some technical difficulties with the video conferencing this year (no audio on my end of things), so unfortunately there's no video of the festivities.
